Tattoos are not allowed
Our shop is no good. Many Japanese and Japanese police officers are not friendly in tattoos. In addition, both real tattoos and fake tattoo stickers are rejected. In addition, bandages to hide tattoos and taping to hide tattoos are prohibited. For more information, please contact the store on the homepage or phone. very sorry…
In Japan, it is bad manners to take a bath with a towel. Please enjoy Japanese culture.
No, they strictly prohibited the one who has tattoos. And no T-Shirts inside onsen.
I'm sorry I don't remember the exact amount, but I think it was about 1,300 yen for a towel set. Also, there is a discount when you go on a motorcycle 割 引️
Yes you can! I came here and had no choice but to use the private one. It's a little more expensive but at least I could still use it.
Although not a hotel, you can book a private onsen. The restaurant is very good, too. Enjoy it
in Japan, tatoo is prohibited for most of public bath. But the mther day I saw at HOTTARAKASHI NO YU. http://www.hottarakashi-onsen.com/
No
Thank you ️
My first time ever at an onsen, and despite it being located farther in the opposite direction from Tokyo, it was totally worth it! A great variety of indoor and outdoor baths and types of baths. When you enter, staff is very helpful. Not too far of a walk from the bus stop either. If you have time, make room to spend a good while here to take advantage of all the amenities including spa services and massage chairs and the restaurant.
So I understand Japanese culture is very traditional. I wish it was advertised that people with tattoos are not allowed in ANY hot springs around Mt Fuji...regardless of your nationality. Just a word to the wise...especially if you are traveling a long way.
The site is about 8-9km out from JR Shirakawa station. Transport cans be provided at prescribed time but MUST be arrange ahead. DRiver will not let u into the bus otherwise. There are two pickup points and JR station is of them. The facilities are well kept and one if the outdoor pool claim to have views of Fuji but it was cloudy on our visit. I didnt feel or smell the bath water to be hot spring or thermal water though. But if that's not an issue they have about 5-6 diff pool from cave, outdoor, aromatherapy pool etc.
Nice place to relax, no mixed gender onsen if you are there with your partner you have to take a private one or go individually. The food is very reasonably priced. The English translations could be better.
Incredible place: great facilities, various baths and splendid scenery.
A classic Onsen experience which offered day only services. Several pools indoor and outdoor, sauna, steam room... good restaurant food, ideal extension for part of a day trip to Kawaguchiko. Easy to get to on local blue bus line. Beautiful scenery and view over Mt Fuji
My first ever onsen experience and it turned out amazing. The entrance to the premise is well decorated, the entrance is picturesque in itself.Since this is my first time, I just follow what everyone does and it all went well. Though the temperature need time to get used to, I found it to be a must-do experience for anyone who is around the area.
Very good experience here. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Received a ¥200-off coupon from the Mt.Fuji parking lot, so I decided to give this place a shot after a tiresome and difficult descent from the mountain. Was pleasantly surprised that there were multiple specialty baths, such as aromatherapy, carbonation, steam room and sauna, as well as your usual indoor/ outdoor baths. It would be a good first onsen experience for visitors to Japan, and perfect for helping those weary post-hike muscles! However, it was clearly marked outside the building that tattoos are unfortunately not allowed. So while that may steer away some visitors, I still think this is a great spot to try if you’re visiting the Fuji area and want to try a traditional Japanese hot spring.
You can take advantage of their free shuttle from the kawaguchiko station. Know that it's around 20-25 mins drive...so walking might not be a good idea if you aren't upto it . Also their free shuttles are not frequent , so check with the staff about shuttle timings and plan your visit accordingly if you don't want to get stuck in the facility waiting. We chose the private onsen and it was decent for the price. Note you have to pay the entry free which already includes pass to the shared onsens( separate for males and females, and you need to go in without any clothes).there is separate charge for private onsen per 50 min. We liked it but thought it was very hot even to spend 50 mins. All in all it's a good one time experience.
Just lovely, outside bath facing Fuji San. Plus cold beer and food after.
Excellent place to go if you're into hot springs. I'd recommend booking the private onsen if you're coming in with a +1. Nothing beats dipping in a private hot pool during a cold winter with a private view of the majestic Mount Fuji. The staffs were friendly and accomodating even to none Japanese and we were able to arrange our free shuttle bus rides rather smoothly. Just to note: you can forget about coming to this place if you have tattoos.
One of the most surreal and relaxing experience I've ever had
Fair price to use the open air onsen. water temperature is just nice at 41c. Clean rest room. Towel and locker provided. You can stay in there as long as you like. Restaurant is also available.
Among the others here I was told you could get a private bath even with tattoos. We traveled for a while in the rain only for the 2 people at the counter to say we couldn't even get a private bath because they don't allow tattoos. It might be the day, the people working, or a new rule. If you have tattoos I wouldn't risk it, we wasted around 4 hours getting there waiting for the next bus and getting back for nothing.
I wanted to enjoy the many choices of baths available but after arriving I was told that I could not enter if I have a tattoo. Having no choice I reserved the private room but it was definitely not worth the private reservation fee plus entrance fee. Japan, it's time to get to modern times and allow people with tattoos!
What an incredible place! We reserved seats on the free shuttle bus from the train station. They give you a coupon for a 300 yen per person discount. The regular charge for an adult is 1300 yen. We opted for a private tub and chose the crystal bath. We had a clear day with a great view of Mount Fuji. After, we went to the public bath. They also have great views, lots of personal care amenities like combs, face lotion, shampoo, face cleanser, and conditioner. Be warned that they are very strict about tattoos here: they are absolutely not allowed. Dinner was delicious and affordable. I was so happy to have a good salad. They also have a vegetable udon that is a local specialty.
Albeit being a bit far from Kawaguchiko station. This place is actually a pretty good place for an Onsen experience. There is a free shuttle service back and forth from the station so make sure to make use of it to save some travelling fees. The place has quite a number of different pools including a cave pool, aromatherapy, carbonated (my personal favourite), indoor, outdoor, cold pool and a few more. One could easily spend 1-2 hours just relaxing in the different pools available.
My first onsen, or rather my first rotenburo! It was awesome! Great view from Mount Fuji! Plus the restaurant is quite good and not expensive! Totally recommended!
The best ryoutenburo or outside onsen in Japan with the best views of mt. Fuji while bathing in the spring water from Fuji San.The food was great,so many types of bathes, saunas, cold bathes, aromatherapy onsen, steam rooms, and too much for me to explore it all. Next time I come to Japan I will try to stay nearby this onsen for a couple days. I showed up in the afternoon with little time till sunset. I went straight to the outdoor onsen with 4 other guys in my group and 2 ladies in the women's onsen side. I bought some water from mt. Fuji to take home. I wish I would've bought the mt Fuji shaped sake bottle. One in a lifetime experiences.
Super nice hot spring. Family oriented. Can chill and relax. Have a meal. Free WiFi.
This place is epicly relaxing. After a full day of using all of their services, and checking out Mt. Fuji i got to eat Fuji
I came from the USA and found Yurari Hot Springs online. I paid the extra price to have a private onsen and it was lovely! The food in the restaurant was very good and was reasonably priced! I had a great experience and highly recommend to others to visit.
Great onsen with many types of baths and a decent restaurant. Perfect after a stroll up Mt Fuji.
The onsen was awesome. Too bad it doesn’t allow photo taking . There were plenty of choices of bath to choose form, from cave to aromatherapy. The best was outdoors with view of Mt Fuji. The restaurant has good quality food and many choices , from local Houtou noodles to sushi set meals.
The place was great, workers were very nice. areas were clean. I would highly recommend coming here.We were here on a day trip and took a taxi here for about 5000 yen from the chureito pagoda. There are better ways such as having the worker at the kawaguchiko station to send a shuttle to pick you up. they can have a shuttle come every half hour or hour if you want to save money. we were short on time. When we were at yurari they had a shuttle arranged to drop us off at kawaguchiko station. The private onsen were great and they charged us 1700 yen for it. Very clean, and had great views of mt fuji. Public onsen also had great views of mt fuji. The restaurant had pretty healthy food at decent prices, maybe around 2000 yen.Overall had a great experience on my day trip from tokyo to here.
Quite old facilities, not worth a taxi trip but can take free shuttle. Good restaurant. Good massage stuff.
Very nice onsen with private rooms available. Awesome views of Fuji from each too.
Definitely, good Spa and you can enjoy the sight view of Fuji Mt.
The front desk ladies can speak English, so I write down the Check in proceduresIf for you guys. 1.open at 10 am, get inside the door, take off your shoes and turn left there is a shoes storage for free. 2. Go to the front desk and pay for the hot spring, about 1300 yuen per person for public area. 3. get your bathing Towel from front desk, you can’t wear your own swimming suit. Yellow bathing towel is for men and pink is for lady. 4. Take a bath before entering the public bathing area. 5. Private indoor hot spring for couple is available for extra price. More over if you have a tattoo on you, they won’t let you in, because they don’t want any gangsters loitering. Lol. Very chilling place, the water is clean and you can see the Fuji mountain while enjoying the hot spring. Ps. No phone or camera allowed
A Japanese public hot spring soaking. Not too bad but it will be pretty hot at first until you get use to the temperature.Like the in between run around from totally hot bath to the outdoor especially when there's cold wind... it's also kinda interesting too to squeeze into he small doors into the cave bath and steam bath... reckon that not all can get thru that small door but it's nice to be in there.. but not too long as it will be difficult to breathe due to the hot steam. Quite an experience especially during winter
Absolutely love the atmosphere here. Nice service, diverse bathtub. Really enjoy myself here
It takes a little bit of time to get there, but you’ll hardly find a more pleasing bathing experience because you can enjoy the beauty of Mt. Fuji before your eyes as you bath in the hot springs bath outdoors. There are a wide variety of bath types in the two-story complex. In addition, you can rest in the lounge area or relax over a typical Japanese style meal in the restaurant located inside, wearing the Yukawa robe provided, then go back into the bubbly hot baths afterwards. I’ve been there only in winter as it is one of my son’s favorite activities when he visits us in Tokyo. Well worth the drive.
Relaxing and super calming place, fell asleep in their super comfy chair. Soak in the atmosphere! (Pun very much intended)
